This Privacy Policy explains what information Aethon ("we", "us"), operated by Fumie (SMC-Private) Limited, a company registered in Pakistan, collects and how we use it. Aethon does not require you to create an account to use the preview or to purchase a report.
1. Information we collect
- Session data. We issue short-lived, signed session tokens to manage the free preview and report access. A preview-cooldown cookie limits free previews to one per 24 hours. These contain no personal profile data.
- Purchase data. When you buy a report, payment is handled by our payment provider (PayPal). We receive confirmation of payment and a transaction reference; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request path, user agent) used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
2. How we use information
- To operate the preview and deliver purchased reports.
- To prevent abuse of the free preview and protect the Service.
- To maintain an internal audit record of report delivery.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Third parties
We rely on service providers to operate Aethon, including our hosting provider, our payment provider (PayPal), and third-party market, filing, and macroeconomic data sources. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of strictly functional cookies (for example, the preview-cooldown cookie). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Umami) to understand aggregate site usage — pages viewed, referral sources, and anonymous product events such as “a preview was started.” It does not use cookies, does not store personal information, does not follow you across other sites, and IP addresses are not retained.
5. Data retention
We retain technical logs and report-delivery audit records for as long as necessary for security, accounting, and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize them.
